In short, abbreviations

"Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the VP is such a VIP, shouldn't we keep the PC on the QT? Because if it leaks to the VC, you could end up an MIA, and then we'd all be put on KP."
– Robin Williams as Adrian Cronauer in the film Good Morning, Vietnam

The Importance of Education

Sometimes scenes are deleted from the theatrical release of a movie, even though they are worthy of being captured on film. I enjoy watching outtakes, as occasionally there are some memorable lines which the director deemed superfluous or unnecessary to the progression of the story, but which still are good lines. In Elisabeth – The Golden Age, starring Cate Blanchett as the queen of England, Sir Walter Raleigh, played by Clive Owen, in a deleted scene with her Majesty's principal secretary, Walsingham, played by Geoffrey Rush, delivers the following statement:
"You think I am a cynical adventurer with little breeding and less education. You're wrong; I am a cynical adventurer with little breeding and an excellent education."

Judging a book by its cover

"You can't judge a book by its cover."
"Yeah, but you can tell how much it's gonna cost..."

Life is hard

"There's plenty of ways to die. But you have to figure out a way to live. Now, that's hard."
The Brave One, starring Jodie Foster

True courage

Why make the movie The Four Feathers?
To tell a story about a man in search of himself through this great adventure and an the end come back to a man who has discovered himself. And in discovering yourself lies wisdom, and in wisdom lies true strength. So, actually, in an act of perceived cowardess – the result of which was that the man discovered wisdom and therefore true courage. Because true courage is not the ability to face death. True courage is the ability to face life.
– Shekhar Kapur, director of The Four Feathers
